Architecture is mostly judgement under uncertainty: whom to ask, what to believe, when to push, and how to bring people along. Courses can teach the method. Only practice teaches the judgement.
In the simulator, nothing is volunteered. The cast answers what you ask and reacts to how you ask it. When a proposal reaches a forum, the outcome is decided by explicit rules rather than by a model's mood, so the same good work earns the same result every time.

Northwind Insurance is a fictional but fully worked organisation. Each scenario puts you in a different seat, from a single initiative to the whole enterprise, with an AI-played or scripted cast.
Run the engagement
Meet a sponsor in a hurry, a CFO* who discounts every estimate, a colleague who knows where the debt is buried. Ask well and earn their trust, or find out at the forum.
Two hats, five areas
The forum returns Endorsement, Exemption, Escalation or Rejection, with remarks from each member and a debrief scored against a published rubric. Five areas roll up into the Change Agent and Technology Expert hats.
Hours that count
Every session goes in your logbook. Check rides, held to a stricter standard on Standard or Hard, count towards your ratings.
Earn a rating, like a pilot earns a type rating.
Ratings follow the architect roles AMBIT describes. You earn each by passing check rides in the scenarios that count towards it.
